Profiles: New Photography

Profiles: A view of the human figure, an architectural rendering, a journalistic investigation of a personality, the compiling of information to form a picture, the psychologizing of an abnormal subject, policing by skin color, a surveillance dossier. In Profiles, photographers explore the many ways in which the photograph works as a profile - whether as a tool or a final product, a reflection of a moment or a total account.

All artists exhibiting in Profiles worked with Shoestring's digital master printer to produce their print for the exhibition.
